Music Photography
Live music photography is all about energy—the atmosphere on stage, the connection with the crowd, and the emotion behind every note. From intimate acoustic gigs to big, high-energy shows, I aim to capture the spirit of the performance in images that feel alive.
Capturing everything from intimate gigs and fringe festival performances to full-scale concerts and live recordings. My goal is to preserve the unique atmosphere of every show and translate the energy on stage into compelling, dynamic images.
Capturing Stage Energy
Music photography is all about timing and instinct. Whether it’s the raw intensity of a rock band, the delicate precision of a jazz quartet, or the infectious enthusiasm of a pop performance, I aim to freeze those moments that tell the story of the performance. Lighting, movement, and expression all play a huge role in creating standout images, and I use my experience to anticipate key moments — a guitarist mid-leap, a singer connecting with the crowd, or a drummer lost in the rhythm.
Part of what makes music photography so special is capturing the atmosphere — the way the audience reacts, the excitement in the room, and the shared energy that fills the venue. I love photographing candid audience reactions alongside the performers, creating a sense of immersion that makes viewers feel like they were there. Every shot is about storytelling, showing the emotion, intensity, and joy that live music brings.
I photograph across a wide range of settings, from small club gigs and fringe festival shows to theatre stages and large concerts. In intimate spaces, it’s all about connection and spontaneity — those fleeting moments that make each performance unique. On bigger stages, it’s about capturing the grandeur, lighting, and scale while still highlighting the performers’ personalities and artistry.
